The bootcamp stories are what started the entire page.
I started writing them just to get them written down
(I was getting ready for my eventual old age) and keeping them
on my computer at home. It was just when the internet was taking
off and I was taking a class that taught us the rudimentary
concepts of HTML. Our first assignment was to post something
on the webspace the University provided. So I posted one of
those stories just for filler. Then I thought, what the Hell,
I'll just post all of them (I think there were 3 or 4 at the
time).
Somehow (remains a mystery to me to this day) the word
got out and my email box was flooded. Everyone loved them and
it motivated me to write some more. Then it became a procrastination
from doing my homework and went from there until it became what
you see today.
So you see, the bootcamp stories have always held a
special place in my heart and I'm glad they are as popular today
as they were back in 1994 when they were written.
