What's a blog, you ask? It stands for "weblog"
and it's basically an online journal of daily thought.
We'll see how long I can keep this up (as though I don't
have enough to do!)
If you must have a title, I'll go with: The daily
thoughts/rants of a Marine Officer, father, scholar, husband,
marathon runner, Flash cartoonist, computer nerd.

This
marks the end of my personal journal during 1997-1998. I created
entires as you see them and then emailed them to my wife to
give her a sense of my daily life during The Basic School. In
2003-2004, I took each entry on the 6th anniversary of that
day and posted them into this retroactive BLOG, editing out
some parts to protect the guilty (me being among them).
If
this has taught me anything, it is that without documenting
daily thoughts into some type of medium, those thoughts will
be forever lost. I am a very different person than I was when
I wrote them and will be different still when I read them later
in life. But for the moment in time, I can look back and see
the person I was and for that, the effort is well worth it.
