Quote of the Day: “The gene pool could use a little chlorine.”

- Unknown

What day is it?

I should change my underwear.

Maybe a shower would be nice.

Why don’t I get up… whoa… bad idea. Go away, black tunnel, go away.

Folks, this sucks. I can’t concentrate on anything, I can’t eat, I can’t exercise, my wife is making me watch daytime TV, and I really believe the dog thinks we are now betrothed.

By the end of the day I did have the presence of mind to blow my diet by succumbing to a late lunch from Wendy’s. And I cut down my Inbox down from the 180s to a pristine 65 emails.

Seems that the young Marine who didn’t realize he was emailing a Captain when he wrote some rather salty opinions about the Jarhead book, went to Iraq, did some really serious war stuff, and is now out of the Corps.

Oh, and I made some decisions about reading: I am going to concentrate and finish up the ones I started but never finished. This includes a Lincoln biography, a book about cyber-terrorism, Mein Kampf (The Hitler autobiography), a hacking book called The Art of Deception, On Writing by Stephen King, and the Character is Destiny book by John McCain.

I also now have all six of The Corps Series by W.E.B. Griffin so I need to start those; a light 1600 pages of bliss.

Lastly, I managed to format my son’s old computer (now my daughter’s new computer) and install Windows 2000 on it. Now we have three pretty good computers running on my home network. We’re geeked to the gills.

I think I have an appointment for tomorrow. Maybe she’ll give me unrefined morhine this time. Ah, hell, just hand me the PCP-laced crack.

Now for that shower.
