How Did I Get Here?

I got an email of a very unique person: my cousin Darcy. That doesn’t make her unique (special, since she’s related to moi, but not unique). What makes her unique is that she’s one of the very few females born to the Grose clan. Her father is my Uncle Donny who, in turn, is my grandfather’s brother.

Anyway, this is what she wrote when she came across my postings about my grandfather and his funeral last year.

Hi How are you all doing? I just wanted to write to let you know something very funny. I was reading all of the pictures you took at Uncle Loyal’s funeral and I ran across one of my dad and you had wrote that he always had reminded you of the scarecrow on the Wizard of Oz. I couldn’t believe it Jason, because Shelley and I grew up watching the movie at Grandma Grose’s and we really thought the lion was Uncle Loyal. I called Shelley to tell her what you had wrote about dad and we thought that was so funny. How two brothers could remind us of two different characters in the same movie. Well I hope you all are doing great. I really enjoy your pictures. You have a wonderful family. Keep in touch.
