How Did I Get Here?

Today has been a series of waking up, collapsing, waking up again.

Coughing, sleeping.

I think I took a shower at one point in a vain attempt to feel better.

It didn’t work.

My son and I are playing dueling coughing. He’s home for the third day in a row.

Carrie is doing her best to make us comfortable.

Yesterday for lunch I had split-pea soup.

For dinner I had a little stew.

No breakfast this morning.

Vegetable beef soup for lunch.

I think I may be able to tackle a little taco salad tonight. Very little.

I’ve been drinking Gatorade like I own stock in it.

I CAN’T stay home from work tomorrow so whatever recovery I can manage today is all I get.

Nobody LIKES being sick but man, that don’t make it any better.
