How Did I Get Here?

Can we be honest here, folks?

You would think that after 9 days off, I would be rested, satisfied, and ready to return to work with fresh outlook on everything.

Not so much.

It got me to thinking, if I can’t be happy after having 9 days off, when will I be happy?

10 days?

100 days?

I can vividly remember last Monday, sitting on the fantail of the cruise ship sipping a beer with this thought:

“In a week, I’ll be at work hating life in general and saying to myself ‘A week ago, I was sitting on the fantail of the cruise ship sipping a beer.’”

Today, that came true.

**sigh**
