See, now I’m pissed.

Awhile back I got it into my head that I wanted to watch all of the X-Files while I was deployed.

That probably had something to do with seeing the entire series at Costco for $260.

Then I forgot about it.

Then I remembered and looked on Amazon.com where the price had dropped to $169 and I about lost my mind. But it still wasn’t low enough to convince the wife that we needed to buy it RIGHT AWAY.

So I forgot about it again.

Until tonight and when I checked, it had shot back up to $230 which, of course PISSED ME OFF!

How can it go up like that again. It’s like a conspiracy!

And the final insult?

Carrie: “Oh, Babe, I was going to buy it for you. I really was but then I forgot.”

The truth is out there but the price to find it is still a bit too high.

Went to bed in a funk over this.

  3. Hey Jason – check out ebay & craigslist in your area. I believe you can probably get each full season for about $10-$15 each, and even if you just start out by taking 3 or 4 seasons, the rest are out there and available for purchase when you’re ready for them. There you go – my two cents’ worth.

  4. You could always try getting them used on amazon. I’ve ordered several used boxed sets and watched them and resold them. They’re dirt cheap that way.

  5. Carrie surprised me by getting a set for $125, although it’s the suitcase version and not the collector’s edition. Still has all the episodes just not the movie and extras.
