received this email from one of Swofford's fellow Marines.
I
was in STA 2/7 with that idiot Swofford and I have to say you
nailed it right on the head. His book was nothing more than
bullshit without an ounce of truth. Now I know why he started
his book with "... this is the way I remember it..."
because if he didn't he'd have to try and justify all the crap
he wrote.
The Marines I served with were some of the finest men I have
ever known or will ever know. They served with distinction,
honor and most of all bravery.
His book is an insult to their accomplishments and memories.
Just
make sure you tell everyone you heard from one of the Marines
that served with Swofford and he said it was all bullshit. Keep
in touch Marine!
