Grandpa's Funeral 2004: Page 1

I attended my Grandfather's funeral in November of 2004.

My brother in front of my mom's house. I'm really hoping his hands are coming down from putting the glasses on the hat. Speaking of which... pink hat, Chris? Really?
My mom and Delbert. Mom is about to bust a cap in my ass.
Mom, me, and Delbert. My mom is wearing what I refer to as the "Top Gun" glasses because long ago, I complained to my wife about how older people wear these and think they are cool. I followed the rant up with humming the love theme in Top Gun "Take My Breath Away." It just kind of turned into a running joke that was tired when it started.
Me and Ma. She had recently had surgery to repair a deteriorating bone area in her skull, leaking spinal fluid into her nasal passages. I know, gross, but that's the reason for the surgery. She's all fixed up now.
Mom and Chris. Chris is tall. Mom is short. This makes for very comical pics.
Mom, Chris, and Delbert. To imagine that little Mom produced big Chris is just weird.
Mom, Chris, and Uncle Nick. He is my mom's brother (obviously) and is still called "Bug" by his mom.
Now I get into the picture with my gray sprig of hair. Dont let them fool you, Mom and Chris are right there with me, it's just that I don't color mine.
Here we go, taking off from my mom's house in Oklahoma to my hometown of Arkansas City, Kansas. Chris never put his tongue back in and it was a little awkward until I told him about it.
I don't know why I felt it necessary to take self-portraits in the next three frames.
Did I have to go to the bathroom or something?
Or maybe I just did.
This is Lake Olverholser. I run around this enormous lake every time I come home to visit. The summer before I went to TBS, I ran this route in the heat and it nearly killed me. But I nailed a 17:48 run on the 3-mile run!!
Another shot of the lake route. I also used to ride my bike here as a kid and fish. I don't think I ever caught anything but then again, I didn't know what the hell I was doing.
