Our New House 2003

We moved in at the end of September and love our new accommodations.

Looking left at the landing, you can see into the living room where my computer den lives. Here, you can see the piano my daughter is learning to play. I sometimes just start banging away on the keys for no apparent reason.
Here is Buster by the front door. Buster is needy. Buster always has a look like this. Buster is dumb as a box of nails. Dull nails. I love Buster.
Here is where all the magic happens. My family gave me the leather chair for my birthday. Notice the complete lack of any workspace. The yellow blog on top of the shelf are my Peeps.
This is the dining room that never gets used unless Carrie and the kids are putting together a puzzle.
A peek into the kitchen catches Alex watching TV. This is where most of the dinners are consumed (or in front of the TV downstairs.)
A reverse view shows the kitchen and Alex, again, mesmerized in front of the TV. Yes, the kitchen is small but my opinion is that we will not starve.
Completing the circle, here is a shot from the kitchen to the front door. The little cabinet is where I dump all my stuff when I come home.
Upstairs looking down, Buster could not stand being more than arm's distance away from Carrie. The kids must be home because their backpacks are in the normal landing zone.
Alex's room. It may look a bit Spartan but it has Nintendo, a computer, a TV, VCR, and that's all he wants.
Our bedroom. That's the TV that's on every night when I collapse into unconsciousness, usually right after The Daily Show With Jon Stewart.
Our California king that's the best investment we ever made. But with two kids and a dog, it gets small sometimes. Notice the painting on the wall. It's a desert scene that reminds me of my time in 29 Palms, California.
Another shot of our bedroom and into the closet where you can see my wife's tonnage of clothes.
Stephanie's room. Her's is a little more decked out than Alex's. Notice how she has a perfect TV viewing set up? This shot is a little too Snow White after the apple scene for me.
Another shot of Steph's room. Notice the computer. She inherited some of my geekiness. And my old chair.
Back at the landing, you can see Buster scratching and the Christmas tree twinkling.
Downstairs, this is the huge family room. We've since got a new couch but the couch on the left is Buster's favorite spot.
Another view from a different angle that shows our large screen TV. Another great investment.
Four doors starting from left to right: out to the garage, storage closet and access to under the house, laundry room, bathroom. Buster, would you get out of the damn picture?
Looking out the back sliding door. The fog effect was not on purpose. The window was fogged.
Looking the length of the backyard. The small white container is where I scoop Buster's dumplings. I thought you'd want to know that.
The deck and the blue tarp that covers the firewood. Oh, and Buster's Dumpling-container.
Looking down the driveway. This is a great sled area when it snows but water tends to collect by the garage when it rains. This is my favorite view everyday when I come home from work.
A great shot of the front of the house.
Panning right, you can see the stump where a tree used to be. Thanks Isabella!!! We've had it grinded out.
Back in the house, here is Buster's path to go to the bathroom, usually indicated to us by ringing the little bell attached to the sliding glass door at 0300.
