Hello,
I read your message concerning
Mr. Swofford. As a recent attendee at the school educator's
work shop held at Parris, Island during the week
of October 25-28 I will agree with your comments.
I
will tell you I'm a retired military NCO and proud of my military
service.
I
was totally impressed with all aspects of the "Marine"
basic training. The commitment by all involved in this training
process are a
true testament to the spirit of the Marine Corp and America.
I read Swofford's Book and was not impressed.
Lastly,
I recently watched the preview to the movie. I will say that
it appeared to be the usual "Hollywood" garbage.
