This year was a year of reunions and
revisited traditions. I was crazy enough to run three races in
a month (culminating in a 50 miler two weeks after the Wild Wild
West) for the second year in a row but that doesn't compare
to the insanity of flying all day from Virginia to San Jose California
to drive for 8 hours to run for 5.5 hours to drive for 8 hours
again to fly all day again, plus paying for a round trip plane
ticket, gas, food, hotel, and entry fee. This insanity was reserved
for Sir Phil Patch and I will be forever grateful for his efforts.
