I decided to join Sir Phil in his insanity
of traveling from across the country to partake in the 26.2 mile
ordeal that is the Wild Wild West Trail Marathon. I decided to
take a stroll through the desert with some new friends while Sir
Phil felt it necessary to out-blaze the scorching sun and serve
up not only a PR for this race, but to annihilate the elusive
5 hour barrier with a heart stopping 4:45 finish. Nobody likes
a show off, Sir Phil, especially those who came in 2 1/2 hours
later and will not be named.

I read the stories. I would point out one giant omission:
you didn't cover my plight on leg one of the return trip
where I was seated with Godzilla (1.2 seats wide) and
King Kong (1.1 seats wide) enjoying my .7 seat width for
a two and a half hour flight that lasted an additional
thirty minutes as they had to address some maintenance
concern. The fact that I assumed to to accumulated bad
karma that I would end up seated next to them when I saw
the female have to pull the girthy male to his feat in
the gate area only sweetens the sourness of the deal.
The "flight of the sorrows of bad life choices"
probably had a bit more mileage in it. |
